What does P&A PICC stand for?
P&A PICC stands for Pediatric and Adult PICC. Most of our providers have been trained in working with both types of patient populations.

Are all P&A PICC providers protected against malpractice?
Each P&A PICC provider carries malpractice insurance for an amount of $6,000,000.00.

Do you need certain privileges to get into a facility to place PICC lines?
A contract between P&A and the facility is required.

Do you need an overseeing MD in each facility in order to perform your services?
It is not necessary to have an overseeing MD in order to perform our services. If an overseeing physician is granted it will ideally be a radiologist or surgeon.

Do you use your own ultrasound machines when placing PICCS?
Yes, and we can also bring all the other supplies needed depending on your situation.

How does P&A PICC get paid?
P&A PICC is paid by the hospital or facility. An itemized bill is sent to the facility at the time intervals defined in the contract. P&A PICC does not bill the patient or the patient’s insurance for the services rendered.

How do P&A PICC providers get paid?
Each P&A PICC provider submits an itemized invoice to P&A PICC for all services rendered every two weeks.
